Energy Efficient Building Codes Energy Efficiency Building Codes (EEBCs) are excellent energy policy instruments. They can potentially save substantial amounts of energy within both commercial and residential building sectors. They are often used as regulations, as information tools for the building industry, and they have extremely strong potential as baseline conditions for other energy efficiency policies and programs, such as utility DSM programs.
The Deringer Group is
compiling a comprehensive list of the status of Energy Building Codes in over 60
countries worldwide. This information details which countries have codes,
which mandate these codes, and where the codes have been implemented (if at
